Outdoor and landscape lighting

Improve your space through lighting.

Light the path to the door, the steps off the deck and the garden you worked on all summer. Outdoor lighting makes your place safer to walk at night and good to look at from inside.

Worth knowing

Low voltage or line voltage?

Most landscape lighting runs on low voltage: a transformer steps the power down, and small fixtures run on a thin cable. Lights at the door, on posts and in soffits usually run on regular household voltage. Many yards use both.

Control

Timers, dusk-to-dawn sensors, motion sensors and smart switches decide when the lights come on, so you never have to think about them.

Good for the valley

Light the ground, not the sky.

Good outdoor lighting lights what you need and nothing else. It keeps the night sky dark over the valley and keeps light out of your neighbours’ windows.

How it works

From the first call to lights on.

  1. Site visit

We look at the space with you, talk through how you use it and suggest what will work.

  2. Written estimate

The lighting plan and the price in writing, before any work starts.

  3. Installation

Our electricians install it. When a permit is needed, we pull it and book the inspection with Technical Safety BC.
